I was trying to think of one thing that makes me unique. I couldn’t think of anything. But I was brushing my teeth recently and I looked in the mirror and it came to me: my testimony. Fifteen years ago, I gave my life to the Lord. May 10th, 1992 was the day of my salvation. Many people think that I was too young to understand the concept of heaven and hell. Jesus talked in the Bible about how all a person needs is faith like a child. I was very lucky because I was only four. Now that I have really matured in my faith, God has been doing much more in my life than I could ever have dreamed of.
God has blessed me with the avenue of a radio show called “Hip-hop Your Momma Can Listen To”. I could play music off the Bill charts, and have a platinum hip-hop artist in the studio every week if I really wanted. But I decided to give my radio show to the Lord, just as I have done with my life. I now have one of the well-respected shows on the radio station; the quality is professional, and lives have been changed by it.
My radio name is “SonShyne.” “Son” is referring to God’s Son. "Shyne” is referring to the Light that we as Christians shine through Jesus. It has an added “y” just for originality. That is who I am as a person. SonShyne is an outward expression of my salvation |
